Hightower legal
Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective September 15, 2026 · Last updated September 15, 2026
1. What Hightower charges for
Hightower charges for Marketplace and software access only: buyer and seller subscriptions, the combined Buy + Sell bundle, one-time connection credit packs and one-time listing boosts. Hightower never charges for coffee, never collects payment for coffee and is not the seller of record for coffee.
The prices shown on the pricing page and on the checkout screen are the prices charged. The exact plan, price, billing frequency and total are shown before you leave for the payment page.
2. Automatic renewal
- Subscriptions are recurring. A monthly plan renews every month and an annual plan renews every year, automatically, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel.
- The renewal charge is taken on the renewal date using your saved payment method, and the next renewal date is shown on your Billing page.
- Connection packs and listing boosts are one-time purchases. They do not renew and do not create a subscription.
- If Hightower changes the price of a plan, the change applies from your next renewal and you will be told before it takes effect.
3. Cancellation
- You can cancel yourself at any time from your Billing page, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal. You never need to email Hightower to cancel.
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Paid access continues until then, and the end date is shown on your Billing page.
- After that date, paid entitlements stop and the account falls back safely to the free plan.
- One-time purchases already delivered — connection credits added, or a boost already running — are not cancelled by cancelling a subscription.
4. What happens after cancellation
Ending a paid plan changes future paid access. It does not delete your business.
- Listings, connections, conversations, messages, sourcing requests, saved items and history are all kept.
- Existing seller relationships are not broken and existing conversations are not closed.
- Free-plan allowances apply again to new activity: new listings beyond the free allowance, new active sourcing requests and new seller connections.
- Unused connection credits you have already bought remain on the account.
- You can subscribe again at any time and pick up where you left off.
5. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the subscription is marked past due and paid entitlement is not granted for the unpaid period. Stripe may retry the payment. You can update your card at any time from the billing portal, and access resumes once payment succeeds. A failed or incomplete payment never grants paid access.
6. Refunds
- Fees are non-refundable except where refund is required by applicable law, or where Hightower expressly approves a correction or refund.
- Duplicate charges and clear billing errors will be reviewed and refunded.
- Partial periods are not normally refunded on cancellation, because access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Where a payment is refunded or reversed, the access, credits or boost it paid for are withdrawn accordingly. Your listings, connections, messages and history are still not deleted.

7. Taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply. Where tax applies to your purchase, it is calculated and shown at the payment step. You remain responsible for any taxes arising from your own coffee transactions, which Hightower is not part of.
8. Payment processing and card details
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered with Stripe and are never received or stored by Hightower. Invoices and receipts are available in the billing portal.
9. How paid access is granted
Access is granted only after Stripe confirms the payment through a verified notification to Hightower's server, not simply because a browser returns from the payment page. Repeated or out-of-order notifications cannot grant the same plan, credit or boost twice.
