Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

7.1 Hightower content

Hightower owns or licenses its original branding, software, layouts, illustrations, creative works, and related materials.

Permission to access the site does not transfer ownership.

7.2 Third-party content

Third-party trademarks, photographs, descriptions, and other protected materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Hightower permits their use only where authorized or otherwise legally permissible.

Hightower does not claim ownership of independent businesses' trademarks merely because they appear in its catalog.

7.3 Product photography

Product photography displayed by Hightower must have an identified lawful basis for use, such as ownership, applicable authorization, licensing, or another legally supportable right.

Content lacking an adequate basis may be removed or replaced with lawfully usable original visuals.

7.4 Seller content

Businesses submitting materials grant the limited rights expressly described in the Seller Terms.

Those rights do not make Hightower the owner of the submitted materials.

7.5 Copyright complaints

A copyright complaint should identify the protected work, allegedly infringing material, location of the material, claimant's contact details, and the legally required statements and signature.

7.6 Takedown and dispute process

Hightower will review sufficiently detailed complaints and take appropriate action.

Where applicable, Hightower will follow statutory DMCA procedures, including handling counter-notifications and repeat infringers.

The platform may also address trademark and other rights complaints under a separate reasonable review process.

7.7 Repeat infringement

Hightower may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, under an implemented and reasonably enforced policy.
