New Gaikundo Coffee Factory is licensed under the Ministry of Agriculture to pulp coffee. It is located in Nyeri County in the Central Highlands of Kenya at coordinates 0°32′22″S, 37°00′05″E and an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level. The region is defined by fertile volcanic soils, a cool microclimate, and a landscape nestled between two scenic hills with slopes stretching to the east and west. Reliable rainfall and the factory's proximity to Mount Kenya create ideal conditions for slow cherry ripening. These unique environmental factors combine to produce coffee beans of exceptional sweetness, high density, and remarkable flavour complexity. The factory is owned by its member-farmers. A management committee elected at the Annual General Meeting oversees operations, from weighing cherry at intake to selling the season's coffee, so every decision serves the farmers who grow it.
